Season 2 of TinyTap Publisher NFTs Sells Out, Raises Over $300,000

Animoca Brands recently announced the success of Season 2 of its Publisher NFTs, as it managed to sell out all 720 NFTs, bringing in a total of 538,560 EDU tokens, equivalent to approximately $315,517. This news comes after the successful sale of the first batch of six TinyTap Publisher NFTs in November 2022, which generated 138.926 ETH, approximately $228,000 at the time of sale.

Animoca Brands’ subsidiary, TinyTap, in collaboration with edtech platform Open Campus, facilitated the sale. With the revenue generated, a total of 168 educators on the TinyTap platform will benefit from upfront and continuous revenue.

Publisher NFTs were introduced by TinyTap with the aim of supporting content creators in the education and publishing sectors. The sale of these NFTs is intended to provide better rights to educational content creators on the TinyTap platform.

Revenue generated from Publisher NFTs will be distributed to educators, with creators initially receiving 50% of the proceeds and an additional 10% ongoing share of the revenue. They will also have access to a 5% royalty from the secondary sale of their NFTs, providing them with increased autonomy and improved earnings.

The impact of digital assets on education is becoming increasingly significant, with Publisher NFTs enabling creators to focus on generating more content. Those who purchase the NFTs become co-publishers of the linked content and can receive up to 80% of the revenue share, taking on responsibility for promoting and marketing the content.

According to Yogev Shelly, CEO of TinyTap, the success of the NFT sale represents an opportunity for communities to shape curricula and empower teachers and content creators, paving the way for true educational autonomy.

Since its establishment in 2012, TinyTap has become the world’s largest educational games library. It has collaborated with renowned publishers such as Oxford University Press, Sesame Street, Pinkfong, and many others.

The sale of Season 2 of TinyTap Publisher NFTs has not only provided significant earning opportunities for creators but has also significantly contributed to the future of education and the empowerment of educators and content creators.
